David Lynch is back on board for the revival of Twin Peaks!

It seems the wheels of fortune are right in the world of Twin Peaks again. Last month David Lynch the creator of Twin Peak announced via Twitter he will not be a part of the reboot of the Showtime series Twin Peaks.

Lynch recently announced he is back and will be working on Twin Peaks as previously planned. Since Lynch is returning the reboot of Twin Peak will consist of more than nine episodes now and Lynch will be responsible for the direction of every single episode.

Even though the number of episodes increased is not yet clear and wasn’t a part of the announcement it’s safe to say it will be more than the 9 episodes previously announced by the network. The original announcement of the revival was made back in October 2014.

David Lynch had previously quit the project because he felt there wasn’t enough money for proper execution of the script the way he wanted. However fans and the cast of the revival of Twin Peaks have been on a campaign to bring back David Lynch since April and repeatedly urged the network and Lynch to work out the contractual disputes.

Finally the good news was announced on Twitter by Lynch himself. Lynch wrote the rumors are true and he and the series Twin peaks will be returning to the Showtime network soon. A bit later the official account of the network Showtime also tweeted the news that pre-production on Twin Peaks has already started and every single episode will be directed by David Lynch.

Kyle MacLachlan who will be starring in the revival of Twin Peaks also shared the happy news on his Twitter handle when he stated welcome back to his character Special Agent Dale Cooper.
