David O’Russell ‘Abused’ Amy Adams

In the fallout from the Sony Hack, we learned more about the relationship between the controversial director and his actors.

The next few months will be filled with fallouts from the Wikileaks and the Sony Hack. The first person to fall to the release of emails and conversations is famed director David O’Russell.

The actor has always been a center of controversy in Hollywood – actors either love him or they hate him. However, these new allegations /4/move him firmly into the latter category.

The New York Daily News has the entire story, including the allegations. The story says that Christian Bale had to step between actress Amy Adams and director David O’Russell while they were filming American Hustle. The news comes from an email between the Sony CEO Michael Lynton and his brother:

“Are you guys doing anything else with him?,” Atler wrote to Lynton in a Sept. 12, 2014 email. “I know he’s brilliant but we have someone on our show who worked closely with him on ‘American Hustle’ and not only are the stories about him reforming himself total bulls-t but the new stories of his abuse and lunatic behavior are extreme even by Hollywood standards.”

The emails go on to say that Christian Bale, who himself has had some temper problems, had to stop him from berating Adams and attaching other people while on the set of the movie. 

Adams hasn’t responded to the claims.

The director also reportedly grabbed members of the filming crew. This news comes just a few weeks after reports that David O’Russell has been in a fight with another Hollywood starlet, Jennifer Lawrence.

Though there is no way to tell if these allegations are true, it certainly doesn’t seem out of charater for the director.
