The NASA Orion test flight is delayed. Elmo learns all about being patient. Elmo is monitoring the Orion flight as Ernie’s rubber ducky and Berts giant cookie are on board of Orion.
NASA had to delay the Orion test flight. So if you just got up, you did not miss anything yet. The start had been delayed due to heavy winds and then a valve did not work. NASA has time until 9:44am to get Orion off the ground today. If things take longer the Orion test flight has to be delayed to another day.
The plan is to have the un-crewed Orion orbit 3,600 miles above Earth before splashing down in the Pacific. Orion is being designed to carry astronauts on exploration missions into deep space, including a trip to an asteroid and eventually to Mars.
Elmo learns how to be patient today. He tweeted:
Elmo learns all about being patient on Sesame Street. Elmo has no trouble waiting until @NASA is ready! #Orion— Elmo (@elmo) December 4, 2014
