- Eminem’s profanity at Veteran’s Day Concert
Eminem comes under the rage of social media and his fans when he used profane words performing live at the concert.
The 42 year old rapper has now become notorious after the incident at the National Mall. The concert was for Veteran’s Day where while performing he uttered ‘Happy motherf****** Veterans Day’. This did not stop here and Eminem continued to bombard the audience with the shock and dropped dozen bombs of f words.
This was not the only blunder by him. He sang a song and expressed his desire to punch Lana Del Rey. The rapped song goes like this
‘But I /4/fight for gay rights, especially if they d**e is more of a knockout than Janay Rice. Play nice? B***h I’ll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice, like Ray Rice in broad daylight in the plain sight of the elevator surveillance. ’Til her head is banging on the railing, then celebrate with the Ravens.’
He was referring to the incident that took place at Atlantic City where Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice struck hard his wife Janay Palmer.
This is not the only case. Bruce Springsteen also led out a big controversy by singing Vietnam-era anthem, Fortunate Son. This not only outraged the masses but also left the question mark on the military patriotism. Many shared their sentiments on twitter
‘Maybe it’s just me but Fortunate Son seems to be an inappropriate song to play at the Concert For Valor,’ tweeted Jay Caruso.
‘Leave it to Hollywood to insult those who serve on Veterans Day,’ tweeted Ted Newton.
Much harm was done but they managed to take care of it. Obama’s message that expressed love for the military and his request to serve them as they have served them did much to cool down the rage among people. Rihanna’s anthem also contributed much and charged the crowd with the love of the country.
The situation was however handled cleverly but singers should refrain from such acts because it does not hurt the people but also gives a wrong impression. They should realize the intensity of the matter and should be careful next time to avoid any sort of harsh reaction by their fans.
