The singer, Erykah Badu didn’t even earn $5 while she was singing a cappella in the streets of New York.

We think it is high time for the Victoria Racing Club to change their entertainment line-up especially after the recent headlines. Erykah Badu, a famous singer wasn’t even able to earn more than $5 while she was busking around in the streets of New York.

Badu is going to perform on Derby Day inside the Lavazza marquee. She will be joining other great celebrities including the daughter of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hill’s star Yolanda Foster, Gigi Hadid. Ronn Moss, the former star of The Bold and the Beautiful, will also be joining the team along with Margot Robbie.

Before she made her appearance in Melbourne, she decided to take to the streets of New York. The idea behind this was to drum some business up by performing in the busy Times Square. She is lucky though, since her return airfare is already paid for. Had it been up to her there are chances, she might have gotten into trouble.

That is since her cappella only earned her $4.10. Her decision to charm the crowds by begging failed miserably. She should have opted for her other abilities to lure the crowd.

She was singing a song in which she was asking people for money. She was begging them and lamenting about the fact that she hasn’t been able to sell a record in a very long time. She also hummed “Bitch needs some money.”

The Grammy Award winner once told her cameramen that to earn money all you need is a little initiative and some talent, if you have both of these things you can earn as much as you want.

Well, we can see how much you were able to earn with your little talent along with your little initiative! The singer was the face of Givenchy’s 2013 summer/spring advertising campaign. And she is becoming popular because of her fashion sense than her singing.
