Gerard Depardieu Eats Lions

Talking about a wild safari someone took in Africa, you usually get to hear a lot of cool stories. Most of them are of close encounters with wild animals and bumpy, hot rides but when it comes to the French legendary actor Gerard Depardieu; things get way more in depth.

While encountering his trip to Africa in an interview to The Independent Magazine, he told the interviewer; “We broke down on a track in the bush, in Burkina Faso”. According to him, there was a pair of lions blocking their way. They waited for hours but the lions didn’t move so he said that they had to shoot them. But that was not the end of the lion expedition, after the interviewer asked him if he enjoyed a ‘banquette de lion’, Depardieu said “yes”.

Yeah. He ate the lions. You won’t normally believe that kind of thing but the way Gerard said it, you would expect that he ate lions regularly for lunch. Gerard however said that although they shot more lions, they never ate any more of them. It is likely that the long wait made them really hungry and they decided to eat them for making them wait.

This is not the brief history of Depardieu’s various adventures over the years. It’s a good thing he is well known around the world because when he peed in the aisle of the airplane, he barley had to face any legal action just because the people there knew him. He had a good explanation. The flight was delayed for 45 minutes, there was no chance that he was getting to a bathroom because the air hostess was blocking his way so he went ahead and took care of business in the plane.

He said that he wasn’t dying anytime soon because he had all this energy for more adventures to come. Even drinking 14 to 15 bottles of wine doesn’t affect him. He just takes a nap and viola he is back on his feet again. Even at 65, Depardieu is still 25 at heart and we wish to experience more of his adventures.
