The smartphone program strives to provide a unified feature set tailored-made for the market the phone is launching in.

Google’s I/O conference this year so far has been all about the company’s new initiatives and one of them has caught our attention particularly and it is Android One – a smartphone which is built with the idea of providing users with a unified feature set tailored-made for the market the phone is launching in. Micromax is one of the most popular phone brands in India and we have heard that the first smartphone to join the Android One initiative would come from here.

The Android One smartphones from this brand are known for their best quality and are preferred by everyone there. Mostly because they have everything like FM Radio, Dual SIM support and microSD and still cost less than any other phone. You can get these phones for as low as $100 which is even cheaper than the Moto-E. No specs and details on the phone have been revealed about the phone and all we know is that the phone is going to feature a 4.5″ display and they will run on the most recent Android release.
