See why Google halted construction plans all of a sudden
Google’s ambitious London HQ delayed until at least 2017
Time doesn’t really matter when it comes to Google because the most important thing in their books is getting it right regardless of how long it takes. And this is particularly true when Google is planning to build a new home. If we remember, the plans to break ground on its new 950,000 square foot Kings Cross HQ were halted at the very last minute and this is not going to paint a pretty picture for the employees of the search giant in particular. They will no longer get to enjoy perks like running tracks, connected cycling ramps and swimming pools until at least 2017.
The time given till 2017 is according to the company which has the contract of building the new HQ but which has now been left in the cold while everything goes back to square one. We are suspecting that the reason why Google halted the construction plan all of sudden might be because it wants to match the look of its new 1.1 million square foot Googleplex in California. Though the company already has a massive footprint globally, it is still going to have the new London and Mountain View developments as the first built-by-Google buildings that it’ll be able to call home.
