10 absurd items that the Oscar winner has on the guide list of GOOP.
Gwyneth Paltrow has just released her annual gift guide on GOOP, her lifestyle website. This time also the items are quite expensive just like last year.
The list includes the Blinged-Out Juicer which is one of the shiniest kitchen appliances that you will ever come across. Plus this juicer costs $4,739. Don’t know what the Oscar winner was thinking here but a decent juicer can be bought around $300. It is difficult to believe that any sane person would go for such a juicer.
The next item is a Knife. The knife costs $20 and is most suitable for foragers and mushroom lovers. Well who wants such a knife in their gifts?
The next inclusion is a dishwashing liquid. The soap and lotion set has been priced at $65 and once again we are left thinking who the needs dishwashing liquid in a gift!
Well the next item explains the need for the dishwashing liquid because the next item is a dinner plate set for eight. Each plate costs $100 and that means it would cost more than a thousand dollars if tax and shipping is included. That is way too much for a dinner set.
Then we have an exotic spice grinder. The marble and brass spice grinder costs about $125 and believe me there is no benefit from such an expensive spice grinder.

Next in line we have a $500 drinking glass. The crystal glass comes with a detail that the luster will never wear off. Plus GOOP recommends its customers to buy two of these crystal glasses which mean another thousand dollars are spent on just one item.
The GOOP also has a cookbook which it recommends the buyers to buy and you cannot believe it the cookbook costs $295.
Skinny Candlesticks are also on the site and these bunches of candlesticks are no ordinary ones; well at least that’s what its price says. It costs $295 to buy these.
We also have an Arthur Umanof bar cart. For its price it seems it should also have an automatic cocktail maker fitted inside it but that’s not the case and the poor buyers would have to pay $1,495 for this cart.
The tenth item is a Classic Bread Box that is made of steel and costs $40. Well everyone would definitely buy this for sure; we all eat bread and have it in plastic wrappers on our counters. So why not buy a white steel box made for keeping the bread!

Paltrow started GOOP in September 2008 by launching the weekly lifestyle newsletter. The website’s name is derived from her initials. The Iron Man and Avengers actress has been previously engaged to Brad Pitt and recently divorced Chris Martin the Coldplay star. Well don’t know what went wrong, well her acting is superb, all her partners have been amazing but her gift selection is not that good! Better luck next time!
