It has been a while since some rumors have been circling around pointing towards another HTC One device. It couldn’t be the HTC One M9 since it had already emerged on the horizon way before these rumors and it was pretty obvious that this year would have its own HTC One flagship in the shape of the One M9. So what could this be? Coming to us straight from China, this is the HTC One E9+ which we had also seen on the certification database a few weeks back.

HTC’s phablet is quite an attractive device and we are pretty confident that its 5.5-inch Quad HD (534 ppi) display is going to be its highest selling point. The resolution makes this the sharpest display which HTC has ever used in its history of making smartphones. The website’s spec sheet however is slightly confusing and it states the resolution as 1080p which we think is meant for a lesser E9. Similarly, it mentions a 2 GB RAM instead of a 3 GB one and instead of a 20 MP camera as expected, it states a 13 MP camera as opposed to what it says on the product page.

Apart from this major specs, all others seem to be in place including a multi-mode LTE along with 802.11ac WiFi, 64-bit, octa-core 2GHz MT6795M chipset from MediaTek, 16GB of internal storage, microSD expansion of up to 128GB, dual Nano SIM slots and a 2,800 mAh battery. Apart from this, the E9+ sports an UltraPixel front-facing camera and the trademark BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers.

The phablet is partly metal and partly plastic and all that we mentioned earlier has been housed inside a slim 7.49mm-thick body. So far these are all the details which have surfaced and we will have to wait a bit longer before we get to know more on the pricing and availability.
