The upgrade might be incoming due to the multi-window feature for iPad we’ve been hearing about.
iPad Air 2 will double-down on RAM
The iPhone 6 and its nonstop leaks had our eyes fixated on the computer screens for more and more information. It seems the more we got out of the leaks, the greedier we became and craved for some more insight to the upcoming sixth generation iPhone which has certainly become the phenomenon of the year. But in all this hype, we have forgotten about some other very important announcements too such as the iPad Air 2.
The recent information pertaining to the latest Apple tablet tells us that the iPad Air 2 is going to see a significant bump in its RAM which would go from 1 GB to 2 GB. Only a few days back we were discussing the ability of the Apple products to run on lower RAMs and still not have any interference with the performance and this shows us that even the iPad Air didn’t need any RAM boost but some newly introduced feature might just call for this change. The report on the RAM increase comes from TechNews out of Taiwan and they have reportedly said that the mini version iPad is not going to get a RAM boost.
Though we might think that this RAM upgrade wasn’t really necessary but something tells us that the new multi-window feature for iPad might require it to keep up the desired performance. We know one thing for sure that if you are planning to multi task then you would surely need some strong RAM.
