Iron Man 4 star Robert Downey Jr. joined the cast of Captain America 3.
The latest rumors point in the direction of Robert’s working in Captain America 3. Obviously, Robert Downey Jr. needs some down time to decide where his interests lie. However, it is reported the Downey is about to sign on the dotted line as far as working in Captain America 3 is concerned. The Civil War theme is being brought to celluloid “reel” life by Marvel Studios.
Downey will act as a self-made billionaire in the script. This third version will begin shooting in spring of this year. And it will be coming to theaters within two years’ time.
Downey meanwhile will also be appearing in The Avengers: The Age of Ultron as well as The Avengers 3 where he will return to play his final role. Stark will lock horns with Steve Rogers, who is Captain America’s second self, a slot that will be filled in by Chris Evans.
The two will have a mighty tussle over a certain law. According to this law, anyone with special powers will have to declare them as a force for the good of the United States.
This is how the plot goes…while Stark is on the side of the law, Rogers is dead set against it. The reasons Rogers has are: it is against personal freedom, leads to partisan politics and causes him to run for his life.
Stark is left as the lone moral agent and has to take on the opposition of the others. This is the ideal position for Robert and he /4/even play a role in a fourth edition of The Avengers Series.
The reboot version will come out in 2015 though. Downey however almost lost his role as Iron Man. His interference in the details angered one of the studio heads who nearly struck him off the list.
Downey made a cool $50 million for The Avengers and he will be making nearly the same amount of greenbacks for Captain America 3. Several people will be working on the set of Captain America 3, including among them Anthony and Joe Russo. As for Robert, he is all ready to reap the benefits in terms of dollars from the movie.
Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. was in a casual dress as he gave a recent interview regarding many things. In particular, he talked about Iron Man 4 and his role in it. Iron Man star Robert earns a lot of money. He is currently the highest paid actor on the face of the planet.
The Judge was the first movie made by his team of producers. In the film, Downey plays the son of Robert Duvall who is the judge. The father-son clash is shown in all its conflict-laden nature as it is found in families throughout the world.
The bonding and anti-bonding between pops and his boy is portrayed as a series of cracks, bangs and fizzles. In other words, the chemistry of Duvall and Downey is very visible on set.
Downey is a talented star, but he is also a tormented person in real life, and has been in trouble with the law on a number of occasions. But his movies are scintillating gems of showmanship alright. Clearly, the man is a genius in the making.
The chemistry between Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man is plainly there though. As for Downey’s mother, she died just three days prior to the interview and the actor doesn’t want to talk about the death since it brings on some emotionally draining memories.
Another mentor in his life was Richard Attenborough. He too died recently and left Downey bereft of someone he looked up to.
Meanwhile, Iron Man 4 is still in the pipeline. The preliminary details of the movie are being finalized. Whether Iron Man 4 will be made or will be the last in the series is a moot point. The mysterious responses from Robert clearly show that he wants to keep them guessing!
But the Iron Man Series sure has made him a rich man. And his wife is part of Team Downey since she helps in the shooting of the movies he appears in.
