Apple /4/just extend its domain of the iTunes store, by making it available on Android devices.

Those things that were not imaginable in reference to Apple’s exclusivity in terms of its apps and features can now happen in a post-Steve Job’s era at Apple. Apple /4/be bringing its iTunes to Google’s Android phones making non-Apple users avail Apple iTunes as well. Billboard has reported recently that Apple is keeping in mind the great audience it tends to enjoy and /4/extend iTunes Store availability to Android platforms. This is similar to the way the Apple brought the iTunes Store to the Windows Phone. It seems that Apple has incurred a decline in the number of users resorting to the iTunes store and plans to undo this by way of extending iTunes to Android users. With other ventures such as Spotify posing competition in digital music downloads, it is understandable that iTunes users are becoming lesser in number.

This whole idea seems contradictory to what Apple’s CEO; Steve Jobs had to say about not bringing iTunes to Android users since this would make them happy. Tim Cook who is serving the current CEO position at Apple however seems to claim that the company does not have an issue particularly with bringing iOS apps to Android devices if this would prove profitable to the company.

Considering that sales on iTunes have been decreasing, Apple plans on taking measures against this as well. There are talks going on about Apple beginning its own streaming services, available on demand. This has already been employed by popular services on Spotify, Beats Music and Rdio. iTunes recently launched its Radio in September to boost its popularity. This is similar to what Pandora seems to enjoy, providing users an advertisement free experience attractive to music lovers of all kinds. iTunes /4/even have a version available on the Windows Phone soon enough. All these possibilities /4/occur but this is all contingent on where Apple’s interests as a company lie.
