The Mad Men star seems to be getting better after confessing to Australia TV Magazine that he had recently been to rehab.

It looks cool and chic. The men in Mad Men wearing suits, slicked back hair, cool attitudes, and sharing drinks casually. Don Draper, even with his extremely flawed character and his indiscretions, has earned a loyal and devoted fan following. Even with a crisis on his head, one could rely on Don to keep cool with a drink and a cigarette in his hand and people rooting for him. That’s what watching Mad Men had been like since 2007.

What everyone forgets is that there are real-life people playing the characters that you love. Even if Draper is flawed, there is no doubt that the 44-year old, Jon Hamm had played the character perfectly. So, more so that he made his character’s bad habit his own personal addiction.

Recently in an interview with Australia TV Magazine, where Jon was promoting the new season, which is due to premiere in Australia soon, he confessed that he has recently had to spend a brief amount of time in a rehab facility due to his alcohol addiction. It is predicted to be an art imitated addiction that is, Jon got addicted when he drank too much and just couldn’t put the bottle down.

Jon Hamm commented that he knew that his confession might account for news in today’s media. He expressed that he would like that his personal life should not be put in the spotlight. He said that his family, friends, and supporters have been with him and he is lucky to have their support.

Jon is now trying to get his life back on track. He recently attended the LACMA awards ceremony and looked in high spirits. He is also going to be promoting the last season of Mad Men which will premiere in April.
