Jon Stewart slams WWE’s Seth Rollins

Daily Show host Jon Stewart reacted with a video message to wrestler Seth Rollins. Rollins said a couple days in the ring that he could do anything including hosting the Daily Show. He would make the show actually watchable.

Jon Stewart shocked fans last week with the announcement that he will be leaving The Daily Show. He was hosting the show for over 16 years. It is not clear yet when he will leave and who will replace him. WWE’s Seth Rollins said a couple days on Raw that he could do anything including hosting The Daily Show. He added that he would make “that thing actually watchable.”

The WWE has published a couple hours ago a video response from Jon Stewart to Seth Rollins comments. Stewart tells Rollins that he made a lot of mistakes in his life, but by attacking The Daily Show he stepped in a lot of hurt. Watch the hilarious video message.

The Daily Show and wrestling have a long history together. So it is not surprising that Seth Rollins smack talks The Daily Show in a Raw event. WWE legend Mick Foley for instance has been on the show twice.

Seth Rollins real name is Colby Lopez. The 28-year-old is a former WWE Tag Team Champion with partner Roman Reigns as part of The Shield. Rollins is the current Money in the Bank contract holder in the WWE circus.

Jon Stewart talked about his replacement at The Daily Show in an interview this week. According to the Hollywood Reporter there is a short list, but Stewart did not spill any names. He wants though the show to evolve. He mentioned John Oliver and how he applied the Daily Show process into something more in-depth with his HBO show. Whoever takes over The Daily Show will make it different.
