Joshua recently talked about his role in The Affair and about his relationship with Diane Kruger and its particulars. Joshua is comfortable in not being married with Diane.
Joshua Jackson is showing his grown up side and handling infidelity on the TV series The Affair. He recently talked to Glamour about his role and admitted that he was glad to be working on the show. He said that where dramas usually cast twenty-three years old, it is actually refreshing to be working with a cast that have all had some experience in their lives. He remembered his roles in the Dawson’s Creek and the Mighty Ducks.
He said that he is still remembered for the Mighty Ducks if he’s somewhere that is cold but they have come to an age where his friends’ children recognize him for Dawson’s Creek but it seems ironic now.
He also talked about his relationship with Diane Kruger. He has been dating the Troy’s star since 2006 when she was married to Guillaume Canet. When asked about their marriage, Joshua admitted that both of them are not religious.
They have no serious qualms about being in a relationship that is ascertained by a piece of paper. He said that they do not need to prove their commitment by taking vows in front of a priest and throwing a party.
We have both grown up as divorce children and we really do not believe in marriage so it would seem fake to commit to something that we don’t believe in. Diane Kruger thinks along the same lines.
She has confessed that her divorce with Canet actually confirmed her beliefs in marriage and how she does not believe in it. She said that she is lucky to have met Joshua because he believes in the same things and has got to know me as a person.
Joshua added that one of the reasons behind not being married is that they’re not religious but we are not entirely decided about not getting married. It might be possible but he said that he would definitely like to be a father.
He also admitted that Diane has definitely changed his fashion aesthetics. She has made him understand that if he wants to be considered as a grown-up, he has to dress like one.
He told Glamour that he had an Adidas sneakers collection and one day all the obnoxious colored ones vanished. Diane still claims that he must have lost them but he knows better.
Diane and Joshua are very much in love and they understand each other so according to them, marriage is not the affirmation to their love and they do not need to commit to marriage. If in need, they will get married because they have not said a complete ‘no’ to marriage in the future.
