The success of their joint venture goes a long way back and now they plan on bringing into line their business endeavors

Kanye West and Jay Z’s collaborative relationship has its own success story and for some reason they both seem to hit it off together pretty well. The result of their successful partnership has been a critically heralded joint album and a tour which turned out to be a great success. Seeing how they can do well together, they are now bringing into line their business endeavors. Donda, as we all know as Kanye West’s design and content house which was launched in 2009 when West collaborated with Louis Vuitton for a footwear collection is going to be partnering with Jay’s Roc Nation. Both the companies have officially announced their partnership in a joint statement which was made yesterday. The main focus of this corporation is going to focus primarily on Kanye West’s international recording brand and his touring ventures.

Donda was named after Kanye West’s mother and it was officially branded in the year 2011 with packaging and tour design for his joint collaboration with Jay Z, “Watch the Throne.” The most popular design which came from the house included two versions of West’s Nike Air Yeezy sneakers which were an instant hit. Apart from this, two capsule lines with Parisian brand A.P.C. were also crafted. And currently Donda is moving towards working for West’s new Adidas line which is set to debut this fall.

A visual companion to “Cruel Summer,” the 2012 compilation album from West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint, was taken at the seven-screen experience to Cannes by Donda which also helped with the minimalist packaging and marketing for West’s most recent album, “Yeezus,”. And Donda isn’t entirely dedicated to the work related to Kanye West. It has performed on the external level as well for instance the design for album packaging Lil Wayne’s “I Am Not a Human Being II,” 2 Chainz’s “Based on a T.R.U. Story” and Pusha T’s “My Name Is My Name.”

Roc Nation, founded in 2880 by Jay Z, is a perfect match for West’s Donda which has now grown into a huge multi-tiered entertainment company with service offerings such as managing artists, songwriters, producers and engineers; a music publishing company; a film and television division; touring and merchandising branches; a new business venture; a record label; and a sports agency.
