Katie Holmes Talks to Anna Wintour with Troubling Heel

Katie Holmes’ heel got stuck between wood planks while she was talking to Anna Wintour at a party of the Association of Surfing Professionals.

Katie Holmes almost suffered a fashion disaster at Harvey Weinstein’s bash for the Association of Surfing Professionals that was held on the top of the James Hotel in New York on Thursday.

Although, Tom Cruise’s ex did not know how to surf, she went to the party because she wanted to learn surfing for herself and her 8-year-old daughter Suri Cruise. 

She went to the ASP bash with popular surfer Courtney Conlogue who was supposed to teach her surfing this summer.

“I hope she’s got a lot of time … and patience,” Holmes told PEOPLE. “I’ve never surfed before. If anyone’s going to get me to stand up, it’s going to be her.” 

And Conlogue had no problem either. She told Katie, “Once you actually stand up, surfing’s all about enjoying the ride, and I think she’ll definitely have a lot of fun … and her little daughter!” 

“It’ll be really fun,” said Holmes. 

35-year-old Katie looked stunning in a white lace mini by Nina Ricci. She also wore a Christian Louboutin heel that night which got stuck in the wood planks while she was talking with Anna Wintour. 

However, after Anna’s departure, Holmes got help from her rep in dislodging her foot. He actually yanked her foot out of the wood planks.

“She just kept talking to Anna with a smile on her face,” an eyewitness told Page Six. “But if you looked down, you could see her wriggling her toes, trying to dislodge her foot.

As soon as Anna turned to walk away after saying goodbye, Katie grabbed her publicist, who yanked her foot out, laughing.”

The ASP owner Dirk Ziff was also present at the party that included top surfers such as Kelly Slater, Stephanie Gilmore and Courtney Conlogue.
