Kenan Thompson somewhat squashes rumors that he would leave SNL after this season.
Kenan Thompson focuses on 40th Season of SNL
Saturday Night Live is starting its 40th season tomorrow. Kenan Thompson is with 11 years, the current most senior SNL cast member. A TMZ report earlier this week claimed that he would leave SNL after this season. SNL has since responded and said the report is inaccurate and cast decision for the 41st season of SNL are not being made until the 40th season is over.
TMZ though says it is not SNL’s decision if Kenan Thompson stays or leaves. According to the report, Kenan plans to move to LA and is in talks for a new show. Kenan Thompson avoided to answer the question if he stays or leaves in a recent interview on Today. He said: “You don’t have to worry about stuff like that,” he said. “We need to worry about the premiere Saturday. It’s the 40th anniversary! That’s what we need to focus on.” Watch the interview below.
