The LG G Flex 2 will arrive at January’s big event with 5.5-inch screen and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor
LG is continuing to be intensely rumored to introduce a new handset, as a new report claims that the company will display the new G Flex 2 smartphone at the upcoming CES 2015.
The report has been published by Phone Probe, stating that the G Flex 2 smartphone is strongly expected to be revealed at the next big event. Earlier, Qualcomm tweeted a photo of such a device that had been equipped with the Snapdragon 800 chip, and was said to be introduced at CES 2015. The device is believed to be the successor of the G Flex smartphone.
Phone Probe has confirmed that it is indeed the photo of the new LG G Flex 2. Moreover, it reveals the possible specification. The device is said to be equipped with 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 32 GB (expandable) storage, 3GB RAM, 3,200 mAh battery and Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip, which has the 64-bit architecture and is capable of providing Category 6 LTE that produces a data transfer rate of 400 Mbps. Moreover, it will feature Android 5.0 Lollipop and will be only available in silver color.
An interesting fact about the new LG G Flex 2 is the reduction of screen size, but an improvement of resolution with respect to its predecessor. The current LG G Flex smartphone sports the massive 6-inch OLED screen, along with a resolution of 720p. However, the new LG G Flex 2 will feature a smaller 5.5-inch screen, but with an enhanced resolution of 1080p.
The LG G Flex 2 is expected to compete very strongly with Samsung’s Galaxy Note Edge. However, LG hasn’t made any comment regarding the introduction of the new smartphone.
