MagnaCom will do the World's First Demonstration of QAM-16384 Equivalent over Wireless Networks at CES 2015

MagnaCom will enable global operators and network system providers to upgrade their Cable and wireless systems and infrastructures for the highest speed and capacity.

MagnaCom is a privately held company that is renowned in its superior network capacity. The company has a mission to reinvent digital communications and has announced today its plans to demonstrate the world’s highest capacity wireless networks at the CES 2015.

Now a QAM-16384 equivalent 14 bits modulation is made possible wirelessly for the first time thanks to MagnaCom. WAM-14 will also benefit other networks which include cable and terrestrial Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB).

This delivers on the promise of next generation DVB-C2 and DVB-T2 standards. Now these standards are both already included in QAM-16384. However they are not considered practically viable today. The Wireless applications for WAM-14 range from wireless cellular backhaul, short range wireless systems and many others.

The company has also enabled wireless/wired global carriers and operators to realize their future 5G and broadband networks. These are more efficient yet 100 percent backward compatible with today’s legacy deployments.

This new technology also provides more data and information to be transmitted over the same spectrum and deliver much higher speeds and even consume less power than has ever been possible before.

This new WAM technology by MagnaCom is specifically designed to complement traditional QAM modulation based technology and is being considered as a 20 year leap in digital communications.

Yossi Cohen the co-founder and CEO of MagnaCom stated that by accelerating the company’s rate of innovation and development and making it available for the company’s customers, the company is planning to start a new class of vastly superior networks that has the potential to revolutionize digital communications.

Yossi further stated that as the industry races to achieve new performance levels MagnaCom has just planted its flag on the top. He explained that emerging devices such as wearables and IoT will mandate a radical improvement in network efficiency, capacity and speed. He also stated that the company has a vision for helping the mobile industry meet its challenges naturally.

The company has over 100 global patents filed and has nearly 40 US patents already issued carrying around 1000 granted inventions. MagnaCom is now a recognized technology innovation powerhouse and the company is now developing a scalable platform for next generation networks based on WAM.

WAM is an innovative multi-dimensional non-linear modulation. WAM allows for much more data and information to be sent over the same amount of spectrum. Moreover WAM has also enabled much more capacity over the same channels and this has led WAM to save global operators billions of dollars in spectrum licensing cost and network upgrades.
