Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer is going to play the lead role in Jason Zada’s supernatural thriller ‘The Forest’.

Jason Zada has booked Natalie Dormer to play the main role in his new filmThe Forest“. Natalie, 32, is working in the Hunger Games: Mockingjay. She plays the role of Cressida in part one of the Mockingjay. And she is also reprising her role in the second part of Mockingjay that is all set to be released in November 2015.

The beautiful actress also plays the role of Margaery Tyrell on HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones. And she is all set to start production on Patient Zero by Screen Gems. And now the talented and versatile actress is going to lead in The Forest.

The Forest is actually a supernatural thriller that will be directed by Jason Zada. Sarah Cornwell and Nick Antosca are rewriting the script of this flick which is based on the original idea given by David S. Goyer.

This flick is set in Japan’s Aokigahara forest which is located at the base of Mt. Fuji. The story of this thriller revolves around a young American woman named Sara (Natalie Dormer will play this lead role) who goes into the forest to find her twin sister who had gone missing.

Sara did not pay heed to all the warnings given to her to “stay on the path.” She will go in the forest to know what happened to her twin sister. After entering the forest, she has to face “angry and tormented souls of the dead who prey on anyone who wanders the forest,” according to THR.



Phantom Four of David S. Goyer is producing this film in coordination with Lava Bear Films. Tory Metzger, president of Lava Bear, will oversee the production. And the international sales of this film will be handled by Lava Bear in partnership with Good Universe. 

Focus has acquired the North American distribution rights of this flick and it will release this film in the local circuit on January 8th, 2016.
