Michelle MacLaren, the director of Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones, has signed the deal to direct the new Wonder Woman movie.
Michelle MacLaren is a wonderful director and she has previously worked in great shows. The likes of Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad can be found on her C.V. Now she has agreed to develop and direct the new Wonder Woman movie in association with Warner Bros.
The DC character is going to get an entire movie dedicated to her and that is why Michelle MacLaren decided to take on the challenge. She has decided to work with the writers of Wonder Woman. But we still don’t know who the writers are going to be as they are still anonymous at this point.
We know this much that the new movie is going to be featuring Gal Gadot. She will play the role of a heroine in the new Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice which is set to be released in 2016. When we take a look at the production team of the movie, we will see the likes of Charles Roven, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder.
The Wonder Woman movie release date has been confirmed and it is set to come in 2017. When the movie team thought about who they were going to sign as a director for the new movie, Michelle was a clear candidate with her outstanding work in the past. She has also at one point worked in The Walking Dead.
So it is clear that she has played major roles in all of the major shows that we have today. She has directed and was an executive producer in the Breaking Bad show. We are now going to see a show called, ‘Better Call Saul’, which is a spinoff from the Breaking Bad show.
She was decided as a potential candidate back in August. She had a number of meetings with the Warner Bros. executives. Some sources said that they had inside reports that the movie was being forced into hiring a female director for the new Wonder Woman movie.
People were having doubts about Michelle at one point because they thought although signing her was a good move, but then again women are more successful in dramas and in TV comedies. So that is why they were doubting her for a second that it might not have been a good fit for Michelle MacLaren.
Since the past twenty years, we have been hearing reports that a Wonder Woman movie was going to be released in the future. Well now it has been 20 years and finally a date for the movie was decided.
Work is going to start on the movie gradually as the production still has 3 three years to make the movie. We all know that a good movie takes about 5 to 8 months in development. The production team still has some time on their hands and that is where they can take their time to choose the best fits for the movie.
