Nikki Haley participates in Debate about Education and Health

Ahead of elections, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley participated in a debate with her opponents about education and health.

Those who want Governor Nikki Haley out of office got their last ditch stand on Tuesday when she engaged in a debate with Democrat Vincent Sheheen. Haley had a lead by a double digit numbers some time ago. Among the members who participated in the debate /4/be included: Tom Ervin, Steve French and Morgan Bruce Reeves. 

It was a televised debate hosted by Post and Courier. A bevy of journalists queried the candidates. Reeves, an unlikely favorite, nevertheless hogged the limelight by making passionate points and creating an atmosphere of humor with his witty one-liners. 

Sheheen and Ervin meanwhile singled out Nikki’s ethical fault lines and said that the social services department under her command was lacking vital facilities. Her educational program was criticized as something which had picked up speed only with the coming of election time. This Nikki vehemently denied.  

Nikki spoke vociferously of how she had funded schools in poverty-stricken backward areas and this was no mean feat. A professor spoke during the debates concerning the murder rate in South Carolina. He said that more women got killed by men in the state than anywhere else in the United States. 

But Nikki remained adamant that she was behind the right to ownership of guns. The candidates managed to damage Nikki’s campaign considerably during the debates via their barbed wit. It will be a tough race to the finish line. 

Sheheen at one stage said that Nikki had hired more lawyers than had ever been hired in the history of the state. This hit her where it hurt. The clumsy social services department was also made the target of attack by Sheheen. 

Nikki Haley spoke of how she was not only a Governor but a mother too. She said that protecting children from their own parents was a difficult job indeed. 

Then the discussion took a different turn and medical aid under Obamacare got mentioned. Reeves brought the house down by quipping that the state of Carolina was a large slave plantation.
