Nokia Lumia 830 announced

Marketed as an affordable flagship, the Lumia 830 has a 10-megapixel rear-facing PureView camera with ZEISS optics and OIS – the lightest ever built.

At Nokia’s #MoreLumia event today, the Microsoft-owned phone division announced the Lumia 830. Marketed as an affordable flagship, the Lumia 830 has a 10-megapixel rear-facing PureView camera with ZEISS optics and OIS – the lightest ever built.

In a typical Lumia fashion, the phone dons bright orange, bright green, white and black colors. The Lumia 830 is also Nokia’s thinnest and lightest Lumia to date, at 8.5mm and 150 grams. Under the hood is a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD), and 2200 mAh battery which supports wireless charging.

You’ll also get over 15GB of cloud storage from Microsoft’s OneDrive. When it ships, it will arrive running Windows Phone 8.1 with the Lumia Denim update. For the fitness buff, the phone has a low-power motion-sensing technology called “SensorCore” that tracks movements and location.

Nokia says that it will work with its Bing Health and Fitness app. Sporting a 5-inch ClearBlack IPS-LCD display with a 1280 x 720 resolution, the Lumia 830 is expected to hit the market this month at an estimated price of 33 euros.
