#PeterPanLive receives Celebrity and Viewers’ Responses

Celebrities wished the cast and crew a good luck for the show and commended them for the live performance. Viewers’ responses were not enthusiastic regarding the performances.

Peter Pan Live has been a much awaited show regarding the holiday season and as it was scheduled to run, people took to Twitter to express their views under #PeterPanLive. The show was set and the celebrities wished the show and the cast for their performances.


Judge Reinhold gave us a blast from the past by comparing hats. Yes, he compared Walken’s hat with the size of his own when he performed in Fast Times at Ridgemont High in 1982.

Mia Fowler also remembered her time playing Peter Pan from 1976.

Katy Perry wished the lead actress Allison Williams for her performance portraying Peter Pan. Katy knew that Allison will have to sing and she gave all her good wishes to her.

Mario Lopez suggested that they should cast a boy instead of a girl to play Peter Pan.

Neil Patrick Harris wished the cast luck from his side and so did Jimmy Fallon.

The pre-show comments for the show were enthusiastic and expectant. After the success of Sound of Music last year, NBC fans were expecting great performances this year as well. Christopher Walken playing Captain Hook definitely created excitement among the audience and that yielded some pretty freat tweets.

The show started and people witnessed the much awaited musical for the next two hours.

The first act went ok, Allison Williams performing Peter Pan was definitely a confusing scenario for some including Mario Lopez it seems but the rest of it seemed ok when the children learned to fly went to Wonderland.

Then Hook entered and the audience was hooked for a minute and a half.

Ever heard about an actor overshadowing his role?

Christopher Walken seemed to have done just that. The viewers’ were more or less generally disappointed with Walken’s performance which seemed to have brought the whole play down.

As it progressed the play went from bad to worse and people’s tweets turned on the show they were raving for to the show they ultimately deemed a disaster. See some responses below.

However, the musical lover like Anna Kendrick still praised the cast’s efforts and it /4/not be a big hit but it caught 3.02 billion viewers on NBC.

The show is scheduled to air again on 13th December on NBC but most people might not watch it a second time around and some who loved it will for sure.
