Robin Williams suffered from Parkinson’s disease

Robin Williams’ suicide came as somewhat of a shock. The man who entertained the rest of the world and made everybody laugh was so sad inside that he chose to take his own life.

Robin Williams’ death from hanging and subsequent asphyxiation caused the wellsprings of grief and outpourings of sorrow mount. His wife, Susan Schneider, told the world recently regarding another surprising fact.

And it is that the comedian, and top-rated actor, was suffering from Parkinsonian symptoms. His illness was still in the earliest phases. According to her, he had always tried to comfort others and entertained millions on screen.

Robin even did shows for the troops abroad. The many people whose lives he influenced for the better will remember him in kind and positive words. He has left behind three children who will inherit his fortune which is in the millions.

Among the diseases Robin was suffering from are depression, anxiety and Parkinson’s disease. Of course, while the world knew about the first two of his ailments, the third remained something confidential and thus only shared between Robin and his physician.

Williams’ wife hoped that his death would serve to highlight the fact that we all need to seek the help and necessary support from others to battle our personal demons.

Robin Williams’ wife Susan Schneider issued the following statement:

“Robin spent so much of his life helping others. Whether he was entertaining millions on stage, film or television, our troops on the frontlines, or comforting a sick child — Robin wanted us to laugh and to feel less afraid.

Since his passing, all of us who loved Robin have found some solace in the tremendous outpouring of affection and admiration for him from the millions of people whose lives he touched. His greatest legacy, besides his three children, is the joy and happiness he offered to others, particularly to those fighting personal battles.

Robin’s sobriety was intact and he was brave as he struggled with his own battles of depression, anxiety as well as early stages of Parkinson’s Disease, which he was not yet ready to share publicly.

It is our hope in the wake of Robin’s tragic passing, that others will find the strength to seek the care and support they need to treat whatever battles they are facing so they /4/feel less afraid.”

Suicide was a permanent solution to a temporary problem. So before taking the final step of saying that “I’ve had enough!” one ought to seek solace from friends and family and never lose hope.

Robin Williams had been in and out of rehab for his issues which mostly had to do with melancholia and too much worrying. While he made millions laugh till they almost exploded, he himself was suffering from a pain that was too deep for tears.

Talent and skills of the sort that this man possessed are seldom seen. His caliber was indeed of a very high sort. And the fact that he couldn’t take the pressures and poison of a system that is careless and heedless of human emotions is only proof of the dire need of a reformative plan for society so that there is more love and understanding between individuals instead of cynical indifference.
