Scarlett Johansson to return as Black Widow for Captain America: Civil War

Joe and Anthony Russo spill the beans on 3rd Captain America movie. Scarlett Johansson will again play the role of sultry super spy “Black Widow” in Captain America: Civil War .

Time to take a sigh of relief and rejoice Scarlett Johansson fans! During a press meet in Beijing, the director duo Joe and Anthony Rossu have confirmed the return of Scarlett Johanson in Captain America‘s third installment “Captain America: Civil War”.

Scarlett Johanson who played the Black Widow/Natasha Romanova first appeared in the second installment of Captain America movie The Winter Soldier. The Marvel Comics based character is slated to make a reappearance in the the upcoming movie, also based on the hit Marvel Comic Series. Apart from Captain America, Black Widow also appeared in Iron Man and The Avengers.

The brothers told Sina.com that they were ready to commence shooting in April and hopefully will be released in 2016. They also revealed that they were planning for this movie since last year.

The movie will see the return of Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man. Bucky aka Winter Soldier plays a meaty part in the movie.

Rossu brothers declared that the Chinese market was very important to them and that is why they were there to promote the movie. They were happy to receive invitation from Mr.Kelly Meng Ke and hoped to learn more about Chinese artists and movie market.

Upon being probed about what new element will be in the movie, Joe Rossu was quick to state the obvious, the fallout between Captain America and Iron Man. Stephen Mcfeely, who is the co-writer, while participating in the TCA press tour, was quoted as saying that the fallout will be “untidy”. He also said that Marvel Movies were very pleased with the Winter Soldier aesthetically and that is why brought back him, Marcus and Rossu brothers.

Mcfeely also hinted that unlike Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier there wont be a stark difference between Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War.

There were earlier reports on bringing Spider man into the movie but the screenwriter Mcfeely remained evasive regarding the speculation.

Captain America is a fictional movie and a comic character. The superhero was originally created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby in 1941. The popular comics were canceled twice till revived by Marvel in the 1964 and have continued since then. Captain America is a patriotic superhero who carries an American flag bearing costume and an indestructible shield that he uses to fight the bad guys. Steve Rogers, a young frail man is chosen by the United States’ government for an experimental serum to raise him to the level of human perfection during the WWII. Rogers is transformed into a muscular and taller man.The rest of the comic series depict his adventures and fights with his enemies and how he shields his countrymen from the villains. 

Captain America: Civil War will hit theaters worldwide in May, 2016.
