The first trailer of the new Steve Jobs movie with Michael Fassbender has been released.

Michael Fassbender is Steve Jobs in the upcoming Steve Jobs movie based on Walter Isaacson’s biography. Steve Jobs will be in theaters on October 9. The first trailer has been released and shows Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs on stage of the iMac reveal back in 1998. Fassbender does a great job in capturing Jobs appearance and charisma from the first glance. 

The movie is et backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac. Steve Jobs is directed by Academy Award winner Danny Boyle and written by Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin, working from Walter Isaacson’s best-selling biography of the Apple founder. 

Academy Award-winning actress Kate Winslet starring as Joanna Hoffman, former marketing chief of Macintosh. Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple, is played by Seth Rogen, and Jeff Daniels stars as former Apple CEO John Sculley. The film also stars Katherine Waterston as Chrisann Brennan, Jobs’ ex-girlfriend, and Michael Stuhlbarg as Andy Hertzfeld, one of the original members of the Apple Macintosh development team.

Steve Jobs died on October 5 in 2011. In 2003, Jobs was diagnosed with a pancreas neuroendocrine tumor. It was initially treated, he revealed a hormone imbalance and underwent a liver transplant in 2009. He appeared progressively thinner as his health declined. He was on medical leave for most of 2011. Jobs resigned in August of 2011 and was elected Chairman of the Board. Steve Jobs died of respiratory arrest related to the tumor on October 5, 2011.The October 9 release of the Steve Jobs movie will be almost to the day four years after his death. This star studded Steve Jobs movie will be a must see for geeks and Apple fans.
