Years after his death, the former Apple CEO still wins patents.

If you thought that the world had gotten over the loss of the brilliant Steve Jobs, you were absolutely wrong. Neither the world, nor his own company has been able to get past his death and the legacy that he has left behind is not going to surprise many. Steve Jobs lost his life to pancreatic cancer in 2011 but since his death he has won a total of 141 patents and this number crosses anything that investors have ever managed to get during or after their lives.

You might ask why the patents keep on selling even after his death. Well, the Apple CEO was quite closely involved with a handful of Apple products and inventions too and his investors seem to be making sure that his name gets its full share. They have been working their way through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and this number only tells us how much Apple is trying to ensure that every single aspect of the products under the roof get patented; regardless of how small the product is. This is one of the things that Jobs himself stressed upon.

Ever since he passed away, a third of the 458 patented inventions and designs which have been credited to Jobs have been approved. These patent documents have a record of Apple’s history from the very beginning when the company was merely a startup to the time when the company ended up being the world’s largest.
