The New iPad Comes this Week

Apple has invited the media to an event on Thursday. It is expected that Apple will unveil the new iPad line-up along with some new Macs. Apple will also reveal the OS X Yosemite release date.

Over the weekend images of iPad Air 2 parts leaked confirming the rumors of new features detailed in our iPad Air 2 Round-up.

The parts confirms that the new iPad Air has Touch ID and will run on the new A8X CPU. A8X is supposed to have extra graphics power compared to the iPhone version.

Apple is expected to also update the iPad mini. It makes sense for Apple to also add Touch ID to the small iPad as it is the requirement to have Apple Pay working.

Apple is expected to launch Apple Pay on the weekend after the Oct. 16 iPad event. The iOS 8.1 update that includes the Apple Pay functionality is expected to be released on Friday, /9/17.

The new iPad event will be streamed live online. We hope that Apple will manage this time to offer a working video stream. As you might remember, the iPhone 6 media stream was a disaster.
