The Nvidia Shield game controller will cost $60, while the tablet will start at $300

Only recently we heard about the Nvidia Shield tablet and game controller and we have received a leak today which tells us that maybe we’re in luck to have set our eyes upon what appears to be just that. Nvidia is expected to announce its new devices on July 22nd and they will be released on July 29th in the US whereas Europe is going to get it on August 14th.

The image of the product recently appeared in a leak online and it gives us an idea of how the Nvidia Shield tablet would end up looking like. But along with that we also have tons of other details on the Nvidia products which have been rumored since a very long time. The Shield tablet features the Nvidia Tegra K1 mobile chipset inside which is said to bring at least twice as high GPU performance as other leading mobile platforms including the Snapdragon 800 and Apple A7.

Diagonally, the screen is going to be 8 inches with a resolution of 1920x1080px and this IPS display on the tablet should be enough to enjoy gaming on the go wherever you are. Along the details we have also come across a set of front facing stereo speakers, two 5MP cameras – one on the front and another one on the back – GPS and Wi-Fi MIMO connectivity. You should also expect to be seeing a built-in advanced stylus system called Direct Stylus 2 with 3D Paint.

The Nvidia Shield game controller on the other hand is going to come as a companion device which is not only compatible with the tablet but with other Shield hardware as well. The controller is going to be wireless and will use Wi-Fi to communicate. As far as the pricing is concerned, the Nvidia Shield game controller will cost $60, while the tablet will start at $300 for the 16GB Wi-Fi-only version and will go as high as $400 for the 32GB Wi-Fi+LTE version.
