Apple Watch will be available in 9 countries starting from April 24

The time has come, and yes Apple Watch is here with all the details and features explained by the ever happy Tim Cook who was exited to announce the Apple Watch with all its glory. He started with these words, Apple Watch is the most personal device we have ever created,It’s not just with you, it’s on you. Since what you wear is an expression of who you are, we’ve designed Apple Watch to appeal to a whole variety of people with different tastes and preferences.”

Back in September when Apple announced the Apple Watch, there has been so many speculations about its features, price and specially the battery life. With so many rumors going on, Apple has finally officially announced the all day battery for the Apple watch which is just on par with the other smart watches out there but considering a Retina Display and so many sensors, this is acceptable. Tim was very clear about the battery life, “We believe Apple Watch will be integral to your day, so we’ve designed it with all-day battery life,” In a typical day, you can expect 18 hours,” he said. Live Demos for the Apple Watch were shown during the event including Siri, reading up the mails, replying to Wechat messages, opening up the garage gate with a single touch and many more.

This all has allowed third party developers to create so many possibilities and we are sure more and more developers with come up with great apps which will make the Apple Watch irresistible. Apple Pay is the talk of the town and Apple has made it even easier for you to pay with your Apple Watch, and yes it will also act as your digital room key.

Time telling is the most important thing we all expect from a watch and Apple has added hundreds of customizations to its watch faces. We all know Apple is not good with the customization thing but a watch is something personal and thankfully we can customize watch faces and manage notifications and apps easily. Tim rightfully said, “It’s the most personal device we have ever created.” A dedicated iPhone app will help you change the settings, manage notifications and apps. Apple has also announced iOS 8.2 which comes with few bug fixes along with the Apple Watch app. It is available from today.

Talking about the price, we heard many rumors and some of those were actually very close to the reality. Apple Watch Sport starts at $349 for the 38mm model while the 42mm model will cost $50 more. Meanwhile, the stainless steel Apple Watch will start at $549 for the 38 mm model going up to $1,049 depending upon the choice of your watch band. Similarly the 42mm model will cost $50 more for each variant. The premium Apple Watch Edition covered with gold starts at a staggering $10,000 and why not? Apple has not only portrayed the watch as a time telling gadget but a fashion accessory too. The Apple Watch Edition will be made available in “select retail stores” and come in a limited quantity. Apple Watch is not just a watch, you can get all the notifications on it which you expect from an iPhone.

Its a Health tracker too and with many third party developers it will prove to be even more useful. It will available in Nine Countries on April 24 including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the US. Time Cook is really looking forward to its success, “We can’t wait for people to start wearing Apple Watch to easily access information that matters, to interact with the world, and to live a better day by being more aware of their daily activity than ever before.”
