  • Tim Cook Has Challenged College Grads To Change The World

Tim Cook gave a rather motivational speech to the college graduates in the speech at the George Washington University.

Tim Cook was invited at the graduation ceremony of the George Washington University. He was there to give an inspirational and a motivational speech to the graduates. Well he started by saying that he had an announcement and that someone had told him to tell all of the people in the audience to put their phones in silent mode.

He jokingly said that if you have an iPhone, you can put it in silent mode and if you have any other phone, then you can gather all of the phones in one place because Apple has a great recycling plan. So we can see this was an Apple marketing pitch.

In his speech he said that the graduates would now want to find their North Star. The North Star represents choices. He said that now you will have to make hard choices. Some will be easy and some will very hard and some might make you question everything.

Tim Cook is the CEO of Apple and he said that it was all because of Steve Jobs. He made him work harder and this is why he was there making that speech. He asked the students to stick to their values and make a difference.

Tim Cook believes that Apple is a place where you can be as idealist as you want. And this type of thinking will make their business a success. He also told the story of how Steve Jobs convinced Tim Cook to join the company in 1998.

Tim Cook said that at that time the company was really struggling. Steve Jobs inspired Tim Cook by telling him that he could make a huge impact through technology. Tim Cook also said that at Apple they believe work should be more than just improving yourself.

Tim Cook also said that at Apple everyone tries to improve every other individual and this is why today their company is one of the strongest on earth.
