Toyota’s slogan of “Let’s Go Places” has never been more meaningful with the energy and passion of the Muppets lending signification to the advert. The minute long Toyota’s new commercial has been labeled “Joyride”. And this ad of the all-new 2014 Toyota Highlander will make its broadcast debut during Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, February 2.

The Vice President of the Toyota Marketing Division has spoken of how their car really puts the fun in function. The Toyota Highlander is meant to bring an end to boredom forever since you can take yourself for a ride anywhere you like on it.

“Our game-day spot shows how Toyota Highlander puts the ‘fun’ in function,” said Jack Hollis, vice president of Toyota Division Marketing at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. “Toyota vehicles are built to last and can even endure the most boisterous Muppets, a former NFL player as well as a center console full of chickens.”

The Muppets really glamorized the world of children in the 80s with Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog not to mention several other memorable characters. The action-packed show portrayed the shenanigans of these lively wooly monsters. Now, Crews can be seen interacting with both the machine and the monsters and thereby the funkiness factor has been taken up a notch or two.

“We’re excited to work with Toyota for the first time,” said Don Gross, vice president, promotions The Walt Disney Studios. “The Muppets’ classic mix of high energy and heart matches perfectly with Toyota’s spirit of adventure, and Kermit, Gonzo and the whole gang look forward to many zany road trips.”

Terry Crews was thankful for being given the chance to appear in the ad. As for the company, it got the best of both worlds in the form of a famous player on the field and some funny figures that added to the boisterous joyfulness.
