Toyota has released a photo of the Tacoma’s front corner, showing off its new body framework, front lights and the design of its fog light.

Toyota is going to debut its Tacoma next year at the Detroit Auto Show 2015 and the company has already given out a bunch of pictures which have finally given some fuel to the speculations which had been floating around since years about Toyota releasing a truck. In the midst of intense completion, Toyota might have brought on this decision to debut the truck following the introduction of the Chevrolet Colorado and the GMC Canyon. With this latest decision, we see Toyota as planning to maintain its strong position as the undisputed king of the midsize truck market.

Toyota has given a little insight into its unreleased truck by releasing a photo of the Tacoma’s front corner which shows us the new body framework, front lights and the design of its fog light. We can say that the overall look appears to be quite fresh and the point of the differentiation lies in Toyota’s new design strategy which is also new compared to the other trucks in the market right now. The truck got an entire design overhaul back in 2012 but has still been sticking around with its traditional mechanical aspect.

Since we don’t have any solid details on the truck as yet, there are tons of speculations being fed to our appetite about what’s underneath the hood of the truck. So far it seems fairly safe to put our money on a six-speed automatic which is going to replace both the four-speed and the five-speed automatic present in the I-4 and V-6 models and it does so without dropping the six-speed manual option as well. The engine side of the rumors seems to be very impressive suggesting that the new Tacoma is going to the direct-fuel-injection for both the automatic and the manual variants.
