David Lync and Mark Frost bring back Twin Peaks after 25 years. If you do not know Twin Peaks, it’s because you are too young.
Twin Peaks comes back 2016
I still remember having been glued to the TV watching the mystery TV series Twin Peaks back in the 90s. Twin Peaks followed an investigation by FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) into the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee). Twin Peaks premiered in 1990 on ABC and the second season run 1991. Twin Peaks is the brainchild of David Lynch and Mark Frost.
Twin Peaks became a cult show that became part of pop culture. And now there will be an encore after 25 years. Deadline reports that David Lynch and Mark Frost will bring back Twin Peaks for a third season airing on Showtime in 2016. There will be 9 episodes.
Showtime has published a video announcing the new Twin Peaks comeback. Watch it below.
The new Twin Peaks season will play in the present time. Actor Kyle MacLachlan has hinted on Twitter that he might be back reprising his role of agent Dale Cooper.
