Twitter announces two major updates: a new platform for content promotion on or off the site and a completely fresh homepage design!

Twitter is a massive platform where anyone can share anything and currently it has a total of 284 million accounts. However the desire to tempt more users always seems to be on the mind of Twitter executives, as it always keeps coming up with more new ways to engross people of all aspects.

Recently two new major steps have been taken by Twitter. To start with Twitter introduced the content promotion feature in collaboration with Flipboard. Now Twitter has announced its plan to unveil an entirely new and innovative form of Homepage.

A recent update of Twitter is the promotion of ads on or off Twitter and has increased the company’s stock by 6 percent. The venture is a partnership between Twitter and Flipboard for the advertising of promoted tweets.

The update utilizes Twitter’s features, as Tweets can flow on other mediums such as TV, mobile apps and websites.  So in such a way Twitter syndicated advertisements can be seen in Twitter section on third party mediums and areas.

For example ads on Flipboard app will be similar to the ones on Twitter. A company /4/be running a promoted tweet campaign on Twitter and the same ad can be visible through Twitter on other Twitter syndicated apps. All the ads will have the same structure and will be powered by Twitter.

Moreover Twitter is also reinventing its homepage appearance to lure in more users. The existing homepage shows only a single picture randomly picked from the existing millions of accounts on twitter.

However the new homepage design that is still in production will provide a preview of twitter activities to non-users. A representative of Twitter confirmed that the new homepage is in the testing phase.

The new homepage will include an array of tweets from different categories. The tweets that visitors will be able to glimpse will be taken from popular accounts and will showcase similar categories such as ‘General News’ or ‘TV shows’.

According to analysts approximately 500 million people visit the Twitter homepage on daily basis without logging in. it is also possible for Twitter to use such a massive visitation into an advertisement venture.

The people who visit the page might also be able to view advertisements. Twitter has relentlessly been trying to entice more users and keep the previous users involved by keeping a fixed flow of updates and tests.
