Life is precious and experiencing a moment where you can lose it is shocking and this shock can make you benumbed. The Irish U2 musician Bono cheated death when he was on board.

Bono the member of U2 band was on board Learjet 60 D-CGEO. He was going from Dublin to Berlin in afternoon. The flight was 2 hours long when suddenly they felt a big thud. The tailgate detached and at that point they did not know. It was after sometime that Bono was informed that the tailgate of the plane was detached. He was horrified.

The members of U2 were invited to receive an award but Bono left early due to his other engagement in Berlin. The other members had to join him early. He left for Berlin and it happened at 12:27 pm when the plane was preparing to land, the door ripped off.

The spokesperson said, “The entire door along with Bono and his companions luggage had fallen out mid-air. They don’t know if the door and the contents landed over water or land but they were extremely lucky. They were at an altitude where anything could have happened and they are all feeling very lucky to be alive.”

Bono was not alone. There were 3 other people too. They were lucky to have landed safely. One of his friends told the DailyMail, “He was extremely lucky, the plane could have gone down. About an hour into the journey they heard a big thud coming from the rear of the plane.”

The police did not leave the matter as it is. They have carried out the investigation along with German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Investigations Office. They are investigating the reasons that caused the accident. Moreover the team is also looking for the luggage of the passengers.

Ralf Kunkel, an airport spokesman said, “The jet landed safely and, according to our knowledge, there was no danger of a crash.”

The members of U2 appeared on the show later that night on Wednesday performing for Bambi movie awards. Bono also met the minister of development of Germany Gerd Mueller to discuss the overseas aid projects. This shows that he has strong nerves that brought him out of the shock. The show must go on and he showed this by attending the Bambo movie awards.

Bono did not create hype and handled the matter with a good sense. The band is travelling next week to US to appear on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show. His fans are waiting eagerly for him to share his experience. However since the incident he has not spoken much but his fans will be glad to know that he is doing well and coping with the after effects.

The investigation is still in process. They have not found the cause yet. No reports about the missing luggage have appeared anywhere but the police have assured to give the report soon. The fans out there can thank God for Bono’s safe landing.
