2015 Ram 1500 Rebel debuts at NAIAS 2015 in Detroit

This new Ram 1500 takes the advantage of exclusive air suspension and will come with equipped factory lift, tow hooks, skid plates and many other off-road features.

The new 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel has brought with it new and unique off-road features to the full size truck segment. 

Bob Hegbloom the President and CEO of Ram Truck Brand, FCA US LLC stated that offering an off-road style package on the Ram 1500 is the company’s focal point since a long time but the perfect combination just presented itself. He also stated that the Rebel is an important part of the truck market due to its unique and new design backed by the Ram Truck engineering. 

The Rebel features a new grille with a prominent billet silver RAM letter badge. Moreover it also features a new font bumper design with a durable powder-coated surface which also incorporates new front tow hooks and new LED fog lamps.

Plus the car also features an all-new 17 inch aluminum wheel which will make the off-road drive more efficient. The rear bumper has also been treated with durable black powder coating.

The model has also been equipped with an optional backup camera in order to provide a better field of vision when maneuvering.

The Ram 1500 Rebel is said to be available in five colors that include Granite Crystal Metallic, Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black and Flame Red. Moreover the company is providing its customers the options of both monotone and two-tone paint options.   

The interior of the Rebel is also every bit outstanding as its exterior. The seats have been finished in Radar Red and Black with Sedoso fabric inserts embossed with the Toyo tire tread pattern. The instrument panel has been kept black.

The center stack and console of the car have been finished in Iron Gray Metallic paint which basically gives a cast-iron appearance. Plus the Rebel has been equipped with a heated steering wheel which has been wrapped with semi-perforated black leather accented with Radar Red X-stitches. On the other hand the upper glove box door has been finished with a Rebel nameplate badge. 

Now coming to the main topic, the Rebel has been equipped with a 3.6 liter Pentastar V-6 engine which has won Ward’s 10 Best Engines Award three years in a row. Plus with variable valve timing (VVT) the engine will offer the drivers 305 horsepower.

Moreover the engine will also provide the best in class fuel consumption of 25 miles per gallon. Then there is also the option for the Rebel drivers to get the car with the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V-8 engine.

This engine along with fuel saving cylinder shut off and VVT will provide 395 horsepower.  When the Rebel is equipped with the 3.6 liter Pentastar V-6 engine it will be available in only 4×4. However the HEMI powered Ram 1500 Rebel will be available in both 4×4 and 4×2.
