Amber Laign: Robin Roberts Reveals Facts About Laign

The host of “Good Morning America” Robin Roberts and girlfriend Amber Laign came out of the closet about their lesbian relationship. The bold decision was taken by Roberts after a cancerous illness taught her how to live again and love life.

Robin Roberts appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and confessed that she and her lesbian partner Amber Laign had been in a relationship since the past few years.

While Amber, who is a massage therapist, shuns the media spotlight, Roberts is always the center of attention. She said that Amber was backstage and didn’t want to appear before everyone. But Roberts said that she had always given her a lot of moral and physical support.

“Not everyone wants to be in the spotlight,” said Roberts. “She’s very, very supportive and she’s been right there beside me every step of the way.” 

The two really loved each other. It was only when Robin contracted a terminal illness that she realized how short life was and decided to reveal all the facts regarding her personal life. She shared a photograph of Amber and herself with Ellen.

“This is where I’m taking one for the team,” said Robin Roberts. “She photographed much better in this picture than I did. But I said, ‘You know what? I’m going use this picture because you look so doggone good.'”

Amber had been the bedrock of Roberts’ being during her period in the hospital. She had literally pulled the sad and depressed morning show host out of her blue funk. 

“I had been thanking my doctors and nurses, my sister, who was a perfect match — and rightfully so. I asked [Laign], I said, ‘I really want to say thank you.'”

When she made it to health and fitness after battling the illness, Roberts plucked up the courage to tell all about her personal sexual preference to the world at large. 

She especially thanked Ellen (who is a lesbian as well) about being a source of inspiration to so many. Since Ellen is a role model for America on her platform, she has helped all the homosexual and lesbian couples who want to be left in peace regarding their choices which they have made in life. 

Ellen asked Roberts regarding her health status and Roberts answered that she felt strong as a bull. However, a few months of maintenance medical treatment remained in order to jack up her immune system which had been wiped out by the devastating illness.
