Carol Burnett Received 2014 Harvey Award

Legendary award winning actress, TV host and best-selling book author has been honored with the 2014 Harvey Award at a dinner ceremony at Blairsville’s Chestnut Ridge Resort on Friday evening October 3rd.

Jimmy Stewart Museum President, Jeffrey Tobin said “What a statement Carol Burnett has made, to offer her time and talents in support of our museum fundraiser. This gift is a testament to the life of Jimmy Stewart and to the value of continuing his legacy here in Indiana, PA. In spite of her hectic schedule, she chose to join us during our fundraiser to recognize his life and legacy.”

Carol Burnett has been honored with Emmys, Golden Globes, People’s Choice Awards, The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for Humor and countless other awards including The Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The museum pointed a classic TV moment. On the last Carol Burnett Show in 1978, Jimmy Stewart made a surprise appearance. Watch Carol scream in surprise below and enjoy Jimmy Stewart on the piano.

The Carol Burnett show ran for 11 years.
