The Grammys Record of the Year Award goes to Sam Smith for his Stay with Me.
The Grammys went with a bang! Sam Smith, the Brit with his Writ, made it big with his song Stay with Me. He won four Grammys. And he had only this much to say after winning the Record of the Year Award.
Sam said that he was trying to be something he was not in the first place. He had been making ugly music and had been on and off diets in order to lose weight.
Such blatant hypocrisy was taking a toll on his singing career as well as his lifestyle. The result was that he was going nowhere.
Then Sam Smith found his true self and began making beautiful music. He in particular thanked the man he was in love with and who broke his heart in the end since it was due to this heartbreaker that he had won four Grammys today.

It was indeed a triumph of the will and spirit that had led Sam Smith to win such a huge form of recognition for Britain. However, Beck upset his complete victory by bagging a few Grammys of his own.
Beck thanked his children who had stayed up late to see their dad win a couple of Grammys. His laidback cool funky vibe of an album was good enough to win accolades too.
Then Paul McCartney, Rihanna and Kanye West also sang one of Rihanna’s songs together.
A brief message was cast live from President Obama during the Grammys.
It had to do with domestic abuse and how to stem its tide. Obama said that it was a major issue that America was facing and one that had to be stopped in the nick of time.
Meanwhile others who were there included Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett. Sam Smith told his parents from onstage that he was trying hard not to let the waterworks loose after winning four Grammys.
As for Miley Cyrus, that wild child of pop, she introduced Madonna by saying that the “bitch” was here. And the material girl had allowed Miley the privilege of using that word for her.
Beyonce won three Grammys and she thanked her hubby Jay-Z for helping her out in her music. Queen Bey’s Drunk in Love was in for some worthy praise.
Pharrell Williams was present too and so was the band AC/DC. The event was very cool and funky and it raised temperatures everywhere.
