Mama June convicted as She did not Pay $4000 to her Daughter’s Guardian

Mama June convicted due to boyfriend’s molestation case.

June Shannon or more commonly known as Mama June has not paid more than $4000 in child support to her own mother who became the legal guardian of June’s molested daughter Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell. In 2003 Sandra Hale became the legal guardian of Anna one year after she was sexually abused by her own mother’s then boyfriend, Mark McDaniel.

Mama June is liable to pay $100 every month in child support to her mother Sandra Hale but it looks she has missed out on her payments. June was arrested in 2009 and the Henry County District Attorney filed criminal contempt charges against her, claiming that she had not paid $4144.62 which she was liable to pay in child support.

The legal documents claim that June has fallen to pay her due amount due to deliberate and continuous refusal to obey the court orders. The mother of four was threatened with jail time if she refused to pay her due amount. However after just three months the contempt charge was dismissed by the district court as it is presumed that June paid her due. 

Mark McDaniel aged 53, was released from prison this year after he served his 10 year long prison term. He was convicted for aggravated child molestation of an eight year old in 2004. Even after everything McDaniel was seen in photographs with Mama June in her house, house hunting with the family and spending time with her younger daughter Honey Boo Boo.

Regardless of these pictures Mama June denies that she is seeing McDaniel. Earlier this week, Mama June stated in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she had only seen McDaniel twice since he was released from prison and also explained that she was not in any kind of relationship with him.

June explained that one of her meetings with McDaniel was a mere coincidence and the second meeting was held because her daughter Pumpkin has been raised believing that McDaniel is her father, so for her sake this meeting was held. She justified that when they met nearly a dozen people were present in the room at that time.

Anna claimed that she was sexually abused by McDaniel for many months in 2002, in the trailer she and her mother June shared. She even revealed that sometimes her three year old sister Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon was forced to watch this sight.

Last month Mama June’s mother spoke with Entertainment Tonight and stated that she wanted to kill McDaniel and that she was disgusted and shocked how anyone could do such a thing.

She also said that she was shocked at her daughter June, for being in complete denial about what that guy did to her daughter and now fears the safety of Honey Boo Boo who is nine years old. June still lives with her three youngest daughters in Macintyre, Georgia while Anna is now married to Michael Cardwell and has a 2 year old daughter.
