Misty Upham has disappeared without a Trace

Misty Upham played the role of a housemaid on the show August: Osage County. And she was also nominated for an Independent Spirit Award about six years ago for the part she realistically portrayed in Frozen River.

But it has been six days since she was last seen. The 32 year old actress was said to have disappeared leaving her family worried sick about her whereabouts. 

Misty Upham left her flat on October 6th a few miles from Seattle and no one has been in touch with her since. Her father called the authorities. He was a very concerned man. 

Basically it all started when the police got a call regarding a suicidal case at the apartment where she lives along with her parents. But by the time they arrived on the scene, she had already packed up her things and left.

“Our officers responded to her apartment where she lives with her parents on Sunday for a suicidal call,” Commander Steve Stocker told Pepole.

“When our officers got there, she had already packed up some belongings and left the apartment, so the officers were not able to contact or find her.”

Her dad, Charles, wants her located as fast as possible. However, the police are skeptical as far as the info is concerned. Since she took much of her stuff including clothes with her, and had a bus ticket along with a wad of banknotes, it is highly unlikely she would just have gone missing.    

“As far as the information we have, she took some things with her, she has a bus pass and even access to some money, and [the case] has been assigned to a detective, but we aren’t putting resources [to look for her],” said Stocker.

While a detective had been assigned to her case, the police are confident that she will be found in no time. This is the fifth time a suicide threat has come from the selfsame apartment in the duration of a year. 

And Upham’s leaving the apartment is not a new occurrence. However, her father insists that his daughter has a severe psychiatric illness and that she needs help. 

“She has not been in contact with her family or friends since her disappearance,” Charles Upham wrote in a statement to media, adding “his daughter had an unspecified medical condition.”

He wants her back home where he and his wife could help minister her back to health and wellness. Upham is a Native American and she was to appear in the upcoming movie titled Cake with Jennifer Aniston. 

She /4/turn up at the unlikeliest of places soon enough though. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that she has not done something drastic this time around.

She was last seen walking from her sister’s apartment in Muckleshoot, Washington. Misty is considered an endangered missing person due to a medical condition.
