Nicolle Wallace to replace Jenny McCarthy on The View

New and better substitutes for The View have come to the fore. Chief among them is Nicolle Wallace. Also October Gonzalez will be making a debut.

The former was a language expert in George W. Bush’s tenure. And as for the latter, she happens to be the spouse of a former NFL player Tony Gonzalez, who played the game for more than 15 years and retired from the Atlanta Falcons in 2013.

Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O’Donnell will continue hosting the ABC show. 52-year-old O’Donnell was started hosting The View just last month. She was previously working for the ABC show  as a moderator in its 10th season in 2006 and 2007.

October Gonzalez has a history in which she even went to the extent of posing in the nude alongside her hubby for PETA. “They tested very well,” a source tells Us Weekly of Gonzalez.

Another insider revealed that Lauren Sanchez, an entertainment journalist, is also on the expected hosts list of The View. And there would possibly be a face off between Gonzalez and Sanchez for the seat.

“Lauren checks off all the boxes and is likable [with] a really well-rounded resume in entertainment, sports, [and] politics,” the insider adds. On the other hand, Jenny McCarthy will have to bid adieu to the show after merely staying for a single season on it.

A fan that sent a tweet to Rosie O’Donnell that she ought not select a weirdo or jerk for the sake of publicity alone was answered in the affirmative. Rosie said that “don’t worry, we won’t”.

A representative of the show spoke of how it was all still in the nascent phase. Things had yet to be decided and many of the difficult obstacles in the way of a fully functioning show were being ironed out.

“It’s all speculation at this point — we don’t have any announcement; no decisions have been made,” a rep for the show told Deadline.

Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O’Donnell would be testing the new arrivals. A rep for The View told Us Weekly, “Chemistry tests were conducted yesterday with Whoopi and Rosie. No decisions have been made and there is nothing to announce at this time.”

Nicolle Wallace, 42, is a conservative in matters of politics and government as everyone knows. Nicolle Wallace states on her website that she “is a bestselling author and political analyst for MSNBC. Wallace, who served as communications chief for George W. Bush’s White House and re-election campaign, was credited with ‘injecting a tremendous amount of realism’ into White House deliberations.”

“Wallace also served as senior advisor for the McCain-Palin campaign in 2008. She appeared frequently on network and cable news programs as the campaign’s top spokesman and defender.” There have been other examples of similarly oriented individuals being screened for The View.

Meanwhile, Jenny McCarthy is to find other avenues for her talented self. That is because her days on The View are over. Besides Jenny, Sherri Shepherd will be another one leaving the platform.

Jenny spoke of how she had learnt so much while on the show even if it was for a single season. Her life had been enriched by the valuable experience she had gained while on The View.

“When I chose to come to The View one year ago, the opportunity represented two things for me,” McCarthy said during Thursday’s broadcast of The View.

“First was that, after 20 years in the business and paying a lot of dues…., working as a talk show host alongside the single most respected female news journalists of all time, Miss Barbara Walters. All I can say is ‘Wow, am I grateful!’” McCarthy continued.

“Second, was continuing to do what I’ve always tried to do in any situation I’ve ever found myself in, which is to learn.”

She thanked all the staff for the wonderful times they had shared together. There are obviously winners and losers in life and the whole thing is temporary. So it all lies in how you play the game of life.

“My time here was short, but the memories and lessons learned here will stay with me forever and for that, and to you guys at home who have supported me, I am grateful,” she said.
