Project Ara Chief Designer Dan Makoski leaves Google
We all remember project Ara from Google with all its customization targeted towards keeping customers happy and attracted. Well, the sad news is that the mastermind behind the great phone project has departed from Google. It has officially been announced that Chief Designer of Project Ara – Dan Makoski – has left Google. He hadn’t spend much time at the company but his departure has still been a loss.
Makoski started working for Google/Motorola only 2 years ago in 2012 and his contract was for a time period of 2 years after which he didn’t renew it and simply left the company. We are pretty sure that you all would want to know the reason why someone wouldn’t want to work at a prestigious organization such as Google but sadly no reasons have been given for his decision to leave. However, we do know that he has already signed up as the VP of Design at Capital One.
Project Ara is the first modular phone concept we have seen from a major manufacturer and it is only a few inches away from becoming a reality and he had a major contribution in it and he was a vital part of the project development. He had been affiliated with it since the beginning. We hope there are no negative side effects on the project now that it’s chief designer has left.
