CEO /1//10//11//12/Koum says the service will be available soon

Okay lets be very honest about our shocked response to the whopping price tag of $19 billion attached with Whatsapp as Facebook got in the process of approaching it, leaving behind Google in the process. There are around 465 million active users on a monthly basis and this shows a lot of room for success for other profitable services. The CEO of Whatsapp, /1//10//11//12/Koum, announced at the MWC event that we all should be looking out for a new service of voice communication which will soon hit the platform. As soon as this service hits the platform, the first lucky users out of the 330 million daily user base will be the Android and iOS users who will get the benefit of having this service when it first appears.

Nokia and Blackberry phones will be the next in line to use this service when it comes out in the second quarter of 2014. We have little information on how the service will work as no such details have been given as to whether users will be sending voice messages like Voxer or making calls like they do on Skype. Users might even have to pay for this service but this is only a guess so far and this seems unlikely because there are already a lot of free platforms for voice communication and to compete with these, Whatsapp shouldn’t be expecting users to be okay with paying.
