Here it is. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has been officially unveiled at the MWC 2014. Get the details below.

The new Samsung flagship smartphone has arrived. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S5 at the MWC 2014. We already saw some leaked photos earlier today, but now the full details of the Galaxy S5 are available. Samsung says the Galaxy S5 is about what matters most to consumers. Yawn. I already fell asleep. Ok. What matters to consumers.

“With the Galaxy S5, Samsung is going back to basics to focus on delivering the capabilities that matter most to our consumers,” said JK Shin, President and Head of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung. “Consumers are looking for mobile tools that inspire and support them as they improve their everyday lives. The Galaxy S5 represents an iconic design with essential and useful features to focus on delivering the ultimate smartphone on the market today through people inspired innovation.”

The Galaxy S5 combines an advanced camera, the fast network connectivity, dedicated fitness tools and enhanced device protection features as consumers stay fit and connected in style.

The hard specifications of the Galaxy S5 include 5.1-inch FHD Super AMOLED (1,920×1,080px) screen, 16MP camera, world’s fastest autofocus with 0.3s, 5th generation Wi-Fi 802.11ac and 2X2 MIMO, supporting LTE Category 4 standard,  IP67 dust and water resistant and finger-print scanner.

The new Galaxy S5 will ship in April.

I am not that impressed with the Galaxy S5. It is a solid update, but not a big evolution. The S5 will still sell a ton and likely beat again Galaxy series sales records no matter what.

The Samsung Unpacked event at the MWC 2014 is still going on. Watch the even live below.
