During the broadcast of the Daily show Kelly Clarkson and Jimmy Fallon sang a duet of all the great historical duets which went on to become the most watched video on the internet!

Lately the episodes of the Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon has been a continuously producing viral videos and Jimmy struck the riches once again as a duet with his recent guest became an internet sensation. The guest was none other than America’s sweetheart singer Kelly Clarkson.

During the broadcast of the Tonight Show on Monday the host Jimmy Fallon related to the audience how he just doesn’t understand why anyone won’t do a duet with Kelly Clarkson. Jimmy explained his incredulity at the fact that Kelly has been facing difficulties trying to find artists to sing a duet with as he would love to do a duet with Kelly. Just as Jimmy had uttered the statement a curtain is pulled by Kelly Clarkson herself and she appears asking if somebody said duets?

The singer went on to ask Jimmy Fallon if he would be singing a duet with her?! Jimmy replied to Kelly in an affirmative with I got you babe, as the music to the song ‘I got you Babe’ by Sony and Cher started playing!

The quirky performance by the comedy host and the previous American Idol alum contains the most famous songs recorded by music duos of all time. The surprise musical duo went on to sing a collection of famous duets previously sung by the biggest musical pairs. The songs included in the medley by Kelly and Jimmy include the 

  • Inez and Charlie Foxx’s “Mockingbird”
  • Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton’s “Islands in the Stream”
  • Human League’s “Don’t You Want Me”
  • Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty’s “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around”
  • Elton John and Kiki Dee’s “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”
  • Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes’ “Up Where We Belong”
  • Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville’s “Don’t Know Much”
  • Paula Abdul and The Wild Pair’s “Opposites Attract”
  • Pink and Nate Ruess “Just Give Me a Reason” 
  • Lionel Richie and Diana Ross “Endless Love”

During the medley Kelly and Jimmy danced and performed the songs with an energetic flare and both of them showed off their vocal range. The video of their medley has gone viral and is probably the most watched video on the video on the internet right now. The musical collaboration between Jimmy and Kelly seems to be a hit as their cute vigor has turned into internet gold for viewers while singing the hit songs from the previous decades.
